A shed slab has one job: be flat, square and exactly to the spec your shed supplier hands you — because the erection crew, the hold-down bolts and the wind loads all depend on it. We pour slabs for sheds, garages, carports and workshops straight off the engineering drawings, by the book, so the build that follows goes up without a single drama.
Built to the drawings, not near enough
Shed suppliers issue slab specifications for a reason — the footings and hold-down bolts carry real structural loads. 'Near enough' isn't in our vocabulary: slab thickness, edge beams, piers and reinforcement go exactly where the engineering puts them, poured in one clean operation and checked square and to level before anyone leaves site.
Under the slab goes a compacted crushed-rock base and a 0.2mm polythene vapour barrier, so ground moisture stays in the ground instead of wicking up through your workshop floor. All work to AS 3600 / AS 2870 — the standards exist for a reason, and we build to them on every single job.
Floors made to be worked on
Garage and workshop floors get a hard trowel finish that's a pleasure to sweep and shrugs off tyre marks and oil. If the shed goes up after the pour, we'll time the job so the slab has cured to your erector's requirement — and we're happy to coordinate directly with your shed company so you don't have to play messenger.
Common questions
When can the shed go up after the pour?
Most erectors want at least 7 days of curing before bolting down — some specify longer. Tell us your shed company's requirement and we'll schedule the pour so the slab is ready exactly when they are.
Do you do the excavation and site levelling too?
Yes — cut and fill to a level pad, base supply and compaction are all part of the job. If we find significant fill or reactive ground we'll tell you straight away what the engineering needs before anything gets poured — no burying surprises.
